Tasmanian Trail - Day 8

Day 8 dawned windy and with occaisional showers. The night was quite rough with heavy rains and strong winds, and our sleep was a little interrupted by the return of the hospital casulty delegation that had left us in the late afternoon.

Like so many other trail reports we've read before, at this point we left the trail. A combination of injuries, and running out of time to ride over the mountains to Dover. Quite sad really. Anyway we had a nice short run down to New Norfolk where we spent the night; and then onward to Hobart, a great lunch and aeroplane rides home.

48 Years young, and just off the trail. Got to celebrate these birthdays in style after all. Damn right, best cauliflower and cheese pie backed up by mud cake I ever had. The run in to New Norfolk was stunning gentle curves and plenty a big views.

Just about there now. Onto Day Nine for you?
