Provisional MENU

Based on my previous experience, and that's mainly on orgainsed rides, I find that I eat 4 meals per day plus snacks. So the table below allows for this....

Another option is to graze through the day and have a single main meal at night washed down with plenty of fluids. So what I intent to try doing is a good breakfast, topped up with trail delights such as scrogin, crackers 'n cheese, power bars and any other damn thing that will carry. Top this up with what ever we find in the towns along the way, will I be looking for dinner.....

The favorite trail menu items of the group.

Breakfast

Porridge - instant is good, two sachets with milk per day.

Muuseli with a 100ml UHT milk.

Bacon and egg sandwiches

Tea / coffee

Lunch

Salami

Foil-pack tuna or other fish

Cheese

Bread / flatbread keeps better and doesn't squash so badly. Depends what you do with it.

Dinner

Sausages with instant potatoes (e.g. Deb), tinned tomatoes and maybe a pea or two. Deb is disgusting! Let's roast a potato or two in foil in that fire you were talking about. Yum! Deb is NOT disgusting.

Pasta?

Rice-a-riso? Blllaaaaccccchhhhh.

Tin plum pudding is not bad with custard, and may even be viable now that carrying weight is not a problem

Other

Scroggin (mixed nuts, dried fruit, chocolate, etc.)

Muesli bars -AMc likes Uncle Toby's Mango&Passionfruit. (Eat them in the dark & they taste like raspberry!) It's the packaging that gives them that flavour - in daylight, you'd notice this. [you mean you are meant to take that foil wrap off? wow, what a concept]

Bananas

Dried figs

Sultanas

Fruit cake - Jan's health Cake

Toilet paper. Personally I've never developed the taste for toilet paper, but if it's that's as extreme as your foibles get David, I guess we can up with it put.
